The Tyndale Story Who We Are At Tyndale, worker safety has always been the driving force behind each and every decision we make. We believe in offering top quality products and services that conform to the needs of our customers. Where did our commitment to service begin? During the 1970s fuel crisis, Tyndale’s founder, Dale Whittenberger, delivered thousands of sweaters to a leading pharmaceutical company with many cold employees. When the sweaters arrived, a problem remained: no one at the company had the time to deliver the sweaters among all the employees. Dale personally went to the pharmaceutical site and distributed the thousands of sweaters. Shortly afterwards came the ‘aha!’ moment: a realization of the value of offering a “Managed Apparel Program” to large corporations. Tyndale began tracking employee orders and offering services in addition to high quality products. We quickly grew in size and prominence to become the industry benchmark. In 2004, Tyndale grew to a national scope, adding some of the largest utilities in the country as our happy customers. In 2007, Tyndale became independently certified as a Woman-owned Business, with Gail Whittenberger rising to become the company’s Chief Executive Officer. As business grew, Tyndale expanded into two locations, expanding technology, inventory, service and product capabilities. Our Mission Innovative, service-oriented, and flexible, Tyndale has cultivated the experience and the knowledge necessary to achieve cutting-edge leadership in worker safety apparel. We offer the best in products and services as part of our deep commitment to worker safety, but we don’t just stop there. Our real passion is people. At Tyndale, you aren’t just another number. Tyndale’s mission is, “to provide an enjoyable uniform experience by supplying increasingly personalized, coordinated and convenient flame resistant apparel solutions to leading corporations and their employees.”
